My hubby is sick. He's got a cold, sounds awful and looks like death. warmed. over. I force-fed him some Nyquil before leaving for work this morning and made him PROMISE to stay home. After a brief Nyquil-induced morning nap, he was up and at 'em, fussing around with anything he could find to keep himself out of bed. He forgot to turn up the heat, and I arrived home to find him hanging out in a 60 degree house. Not in bed.
But you can't really get mad at a sick hubby, can you? Well, I can't. Honestly, he is absolutely adorable when he's sick. He playfully resists any help or advice, but acts like he's on death's doorstop when he wants some attention. My favorite part? His completely random, hilarious requests. Case in point, our discussion about what he'd like for dinner:
Me: "Hey sweetie, what would you like for dinner tonight?"
Him: "Some tots."
Me: "Tots? Ok, anything else?"
Him: "Well, yeah some tartar sauce too." (Heaven forbid we have tater-tots without tartar sauce)
Me: "Ok, that sounds good. But since tots are a side dish, is there anything else you might want?"
Him: "Uhhh, I don't know. Like what?"
Me: "Like a 'main course' - anything?"
Him: "Oh. Yeah. How about a burger? Cheeseburger?"
Good to know the cold hasn't killed his appetite!
Random #2 - My name is Krysta, and I am addicted to......
It's out of control. Seriously. I have always favored hot, spicy foods but lately? I put hot sauce on everything! Ok, not my cereal, but almost everything else. Today, while I was at the grocery store and meandering down the condiment aisle, this caught my eye:
I grabbed it and threw it right in the cart! Mind you, I have no plans to cook anything hispanic/jalapeno-ish in the near future. So I did what any spice-addicted person would do. I came home, opened them up and started eating them. Plain! Who does that?
I definitely plan to eat some with my burger tonight. Probably 2 parts jalapenos, 1 part burger.
Random #3 - I love tulips!
Quick trip to the Skagit Valley yesterday to see the amazing tulip fields. Makes me so happy.
I think that's all the randomness I can handle on a Monday. Time to cook some tots!
